The Malyugin/Cionni CTR features a curved end designed to eliminate risk of perforating the capsular bag by allowing the leading end of the CTR to slide along the equator of the bag. The eyelet at the curved end is sutured to the sclera for secure fixation and offers an alternative to capsule supporting hooks. FCI Ophthalmics is the exclusive U.S. distributor of Morcher capsular tension rings.
